What kind of clay/firing method do you use?
At Bungalow Potter, I use a several clay bodies, but my main two are a modified stoneware / porcelaneous clay that is very similar to a traditional stoneware–vitreous, durable, resistant to chipping. Bungalow Potter fires in an oxidation with electric kilns to Cone 5-7, approximately 2185-2264º F.
